Curriculum
We designed the MS in Health Care Administration to train future leaders across the private, nonprofit, and government sectors. As a master’s candidate, you’ll learn how to apply technology, evidence-based decision-making strategies, and critical thinking skills to the delivery, configuration, and management of healthcare services.
You’ll study under expert faculty members who are themselves leaders in the healthcare field. Together, you’ll dive into:
- Health care policy, law, and regulations
- Health care economics
- Research methods in health care
- Marketing and strategic planning in health care
- Health care information systems (informatics) and managing health information
- Organizational behavior and leadership principles
You’ll see how all of these factors can come together to improve the quality of patient outcomes. And you’ll learn how to bring them together through effective organizational leadership.

How Long Does It Take to Get a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration?
The MS in Health Care Administration is a (5)-semester program. Full-time students can earn their master’s degree in less than two (2) years on our accelerated three (3)-semester academic calendar.
Master’s in Health Care Administration Requirements:
42 total credits*
- 36 credits of required core courses, including a capstone course
- 6 elective credits

Continuous Quality Improvement in Health Care
We’re fortunate to live in a time when health care keeps improving at a rapid pace. Treatments that didn’t even exist just a decade ago are now saving and enhancing the lives of millions. One of the wonderful things about health care is that it never stops improving. In this course, Health Care Administration students will learn how to use systematic methods to identify opportunities for improvement, implement change, and assess outcomes.
Admission Requirements
Candidates for a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration must fulfill the following requirements:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution of higher education.
- Candidates must submit:
- A completed application for admission.
- A 500-word essay describing your career goals and why you want to pursue a master’s degree.
- A current résumé.
- Transcripts from all prior educational institutions attended.
- Two (2) professional letters of recommendation.
- Health Care Administration candidates must also participate in a pre-admission interview.
