What Is the Difference Between a Traditional MBA and a STEM MBA ?
The Business Management, Analytics, and Information Technology MBA covers all the coursework of a traditional MBA degree. It then goes even further, by combining that with courses from our
MS in Computer Science and MS in Data Science. At the King Graduate School, you won’t have to choose between studying business or technology. You can master both in one comprehensive, integrated MBA program.
Online Curriculum
Online students take all the same classes as our on-campus students. You’ll begin by taking a core curriculum of nine (9) traditional MBA courses that cover:
- Managerial economics
- Strategic management
- Managerial finance
- Research and statistics for managerial decision-making
- Organizational behavior and leadership
- Strategic marketing
- Financial statement analysis
- Graduate research and critical analysis
You’ll then go on to choose (2) separate concentrations from among the following:
- Data Science and Business Analytics
- Supply Chain Management and Data Analysis
- Management Information Systems and Data Analytics
You’ll complete your degree with a capstone course in strategic management techniques, using everything you’ve learned to analyze real-world issues in marketing, finance, operations, and management.
How Long Does It Take to Get a STEM MBA Online?
It takes five (5) semester to complete the online MBA in Business Management, Analytics, and Information Technology. Full-time students can finish their MBA degree in less than two (2) years.
Requirements for the Online MBA in Business Management, Analytics, and Information Technology
Our STEM MBA degree is a 45-credit program which consists of:
- 27 credits of required core courses*
- 18 credits in your chosen concentrations (9 credits per concentration)
The King Graduate School also offers a hybrid program for students who want to take on-campus classes.

*Depending on their prior education, some MBA students may be required to take a foundation course in Accounting, Statistics, Management & Marketing, Economics, and/or Finance.
Decision Modeling for Managers
In this course, MBA students will learn to use powerful spreadsheet tools to help plan and execute key business decisions. Students will explore how to extract maximum value for a business’s resources and activities; explore complex combinations of possibilities to achieve their strategic goals; simulate potential outcomes; and manage risk. By the end of the course, MBA candidates will understand how to use data modeling to identify long-run decision opportunities for their business.
Admission Requirements
Candidates for the online MBA in Business Management, Analytics, and Information Technology must fulfill the following requirements:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution of higher education.
- Candidates must submit:
- A completed application for admission.
- A 500-word essay describing your career goals and why you want to pursue a master’s degree.
- A current résumé.
- Transcripts from all prior educational institutions attended.
- Two (2) professional letters of recommendation.
- Online MBA candidates must also participate in a pre-admission interview.
