Finance careers can be as diverse as the financial markets themselves. Risk assessment, for example, might mean something different to a bond broker than it does to a hedge fund manager. As different as those careers may be, though, they all require a keen understanding of our financial system; the ability to plan for both short-term and long-term success; and above all, a strong work ethic.
If you provide the work ethic, Monroe’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance can help with the rest. Our online BBA program at the School of Business and Accounting will teach you what you need to know to begin your finance career.
Whether your goal is to work in a government agency, a major financial institution, or the finance department of a multinational corporation, you’ll learn the skills you need to keep growing throughout your career. And thanks to innovative online learning technology, you can do it on a schedule that works with your busy life.
Why an Online Major in Finance?
Finance careers are as dynamic as they are stable. There are many paths for advancement throughout your career — and they’re growing in number. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, BBA Finance jobs will be on the rise for at least the next decade and beyond.
The demand for sales agents of securities, commodities, and financial services could grow more than twice as fast as the national average for all occupations. So could financial analyst positions. And openings for financial managers and financial examiners could increase by more than five times the average.
