Why an Online Major in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity?
In 2021 alone, 85% of organizations were victims of successful cyberattacks. Cybercriminals are getting smarter, too: 50% of business PCs were infected more than once in a single year.
Cyberattacks cost their victims trillions of dollars every year. In fact, they’re the fastest-growing category of crimes in the nation, making cybersecurity one of the fastest-growing careers. Over the next several years, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that some information security jobs will grow at an incredible rate of 35%: seven times the average growth rate for all occupations.
Even though businesses worldwide have increased their average IT security budgets, they still can’t find enough people with the qualifications to fill their openings. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity, you’ll keep up with more than the latest advances in technology. You’ll keep up with the ever-increasing need for skilled IT professionals.
