Bachelor’s Degree in
Computer Information Systems (Online)
- Bachelor of Science (BS)
- On Campus
- Online
- Hybrid
Organizations of every size depend on computer information systems — not only to stay in business, but to gain a competitive edge. Computers, networks, and applications don’t build themselves. They need skilled experts to bring them into being, and to keep them running from day to day.
Those experts don’t build themselves, either. Acquiring those technical, analytical, and managerial skills takes work. It takes study. It takes hands-on, practical experience. It takes the kind of training you’ll get with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from our School of Information Technology.
At Monroe, you can do it in a program that’s entirely online. You’ll take all the same courses that you would in our on campus program — only you‘ll get to do it in a way that works with your busy life.

Network Security
Unfortunately, many of us know someone who’s been hacked. Maybe it’s even happened to you. But what happens when an entire business gets hacked? How do you prevent it from happening in the first place? In this hands-on course, students learn to control the privacy, integrity, and authenticity of data and resources as they move through an organization’s file system and network infrastructure. Students develop the necessary skills to assess and implement security for a total enterprise operating system and emerge prepared to earn the CompTIA Security+ Exam Code SYO-601.
