Monroe has worked closely with thousands of students from all over the world and we're looking forward to working with you. Once you submit your application, your personal Admissions Advisor will guide you through the admissions, visa, and registration process. The minute you enroll at Monroe, a caring team of faculty and staff will support you all the way through graduation.

After completing and submitting the online application, applicants will need to provide to the International Admissions office through uploading documents on the Admissions portal the following: 

Undergraduate Admissions for Associate and Bachelor’s Degrees: 

• High School transcript and diploma

• University or College transcript - Transcripts from any previous degree or diploma must be mailed directly to Monroe University’s International Admissions office to receive credits. Unofficial transcripts may be sent for admissions review. A translation must accompany non-English transcripts. We accept evaluations from the translation companies below.

• Non-native English speaker proof of English proficiency

• High School external exams, if applicable
  
   

Graduate Admissions for Master’s Degrees: 

• Bachelor Degree transcript and diploma
• Prior Master Degree transcripts  – Official transcripts from any graduate degree program must be mailed directly or securely emailed to Monroe University’s International Admissions office to receive credits. Upon approval, The King Graduate School can accept a maximum of two courses. Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded to the portal for admissions review.
• Submit professional resume and two letters of recommendation. Online letters of recommendation can be accessed on the online application portal. 
• Non-native English speaker proof of English proficiency

Unofficial transcripts may be sent for admissions review. For transfer credit consideration, official transcripts must be mailed or emailed directly to Monroe University’s International Admissions office. A translation must accompany non-English transcripts.

English Language Support

Monroe’s innovative EASE (Enhanced Academic Support in English) program provides language assistance on campus, allowing students to learn English at the same time they are engaged in their studies. Students who demonstrate academic success may be selected to enter the Monroe Honors Program, which allows gifted students to participate in enhanced intellectual coursework.

One-on-One

All students at Monroe, including our international students, are assigned an Academic Advisor at the beginning of their studies to monitor their progress and ensure they are receiving the support and assistance they need to succeed. Our Office of Career Services is committed to working with students one-on-one to help them prepare their resumes, apply to jobs, and conduct mock interviews. Additionally, tutoring is available to every student throughout their academic career.

OPT and CPT

Practical training is a benefit available to eligible F-1 students during and after their academic program at Monroe University. As the name suggests, practical training allows students to gain practical experience by working in a position directly related to their academic program. There are two types of practical training: curricular practical training (CPT) and optional practical training (OPT).

International 2nd Master's Degree

The King Graduate School at Monroe University has been a premium choice for local and international students seeking to grow and refine their professional skills with a second master’s degree. Our program provides flexible scheduling, with a mix of virtual LIVE, on-site, and on-line modalities, as well as a 7-credit minimum full-time course load, in a supportive setting, with competitive tuition. Our professional experience track provides CPT and internship opportunities for valuable work experience at the graduate level.
