Online Curriculum

The online MBA program culminates in a capstone course in strategic management techniques. In this course, students integrate everything you’ve learned as they conduct a formal analysis of real-world case studies.
How Long Does It Take to Get an MBA Online?
It takes four (4) semesters to complete the online MBA in Business Management. For full-time students who take all four semesters consecutively, that’s less than a year and a half.
Online MBA Requirements
The MBA in Business Management is a 36-credit program, consisting of:
- 27 credits of required core courses*
- 9 credits of open electives or a selected concentration
Students may also declare a 45-credit dual concentration by completing the courses for two concentrations.
MBA candidates who want to supplement their academic work with professional opportunities can enroll in the King Graduate School’s Professional Experience Track. Students on the Professional Experience Track complete a total of two (2) one-credit internships in conjunction with their classwork.
The King Graduate School also offers both on-campus and hybrid programs for students who prefer in-person classes.

*Depending on their prior education, some MBA students may be required to take a foundation course in Accounting, Business, Management & Marketing, Economics, Health Care, Information Technology, and/or Finance.
Managerial Finance
In this course, MBA degree candidates explore the analysis, planning, and control of internal and external financial decisions of a firm, with a clear emphasis on corporate structure. In addition to developing a systematic approach to financial analysis, students will explore the unique financial concerns that face multinational corporations, including professional ethics and the role of information technology.
Admission Requirements
Candidates for the MBA in Business Management must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution of higher education.
- Candidates must submit:
- A completed application for admission.
- A 500-word essay describing your career goals and why you want to pursue a master’s degree.
- A current résumé.
- Transcripts from all prior educational institutions attended.
- Two (2) professional letters of recommendation.
- MBA candidates must also participate in a pre-admission interview.

The UCI Connection
Thanks to our partnership with Pakistan’s Universal College Islamabad (UCI), we’re able to bring our Business Management program to two continents. UCI students who enroll in the MBA program will complete their first two semesters in Pakistan, then transfer to Monroe to complete their studies in person in the U.S. (Monroe and UCI staff will assist students in obtaining an F1 study visa.)
