Bystander intervention is a type of harassment intervention that encourages the community to pay attention and take action if they see someone who is uncomfortable or in potential danger
The 4 D’s of Bystander Intervention
Direct – confront the harasser (ask the harasser to leave the victim alone)
Distract – interrupt either party (ask the harasser or the victim for the time)
Delegate – get help from others (alert a public safety officer)
Delay – check in on the situation later (ask the victim if they are okay after the incident)
