When Alina Nazari left her native Moldova and came to Monroe several years ago, she had no idea she would one day serve as Monroe's Director for Academic Affairs, ESL Coordinator, and Assistant Dean for Student and Academic Affairs.
Alina graduated from Monroe with a Master’s of Business Administration with a focus on Finance in 2011. During her time at Monroe, she was an active member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society.
Alina immediately felt a sense of belonging at Monroe, she was part of a family and well-served by the institution. She credits Monroe for giving her the confidence to open new doors and opportunities. Monroe empowered her with the necessary tools, and today, she is a better manager and a more effective leader because of it.
She’s now Director of Operations and Accreditation for LaPenta School of Business at Iona University, where she focuses on budget development and management as well as strategic planning.
