Alumna Khadedra Hall Shines Brightly at Con Edison!
Our warmest congratulations to Monroe graduate Khadedra Hall!
We are delighted and extraordinarily proud to learn that our alumna was awarded with Con Edison’s prestigious Living Our Values Award. It is the highest honor the company bestows on an employee.
As noted in Con Edison’s news release, this award “is given to the women and men who exemplify the company’s values of service, honesty, concern, courtesy, teamwork, and excellence. The award was created in 1992 to recognize and honor the values and work ethic of outstanding employees who consistently serve as role models.”
The award was presented to her at a reception recently hosted by Timothy Cawley, Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Edison, Inc.
Khadedra currently works as a section manager in the Credit and Field Operations department at Con Edison, her employer for the last 16 years.
As Con Edison shared in their announcement:
“…(Khadedra) is a talented mentor, adviser, teacher, and leader. She shares her talents generously at Con Edison and in the community, helping people make their lives safer and better.”
The company further noted:
“Hall is an advocate and enthusiastic supporter of Con Edison employees. She helps transition employees into new career paths with mock one-on-one interviews, résumé writing, and discussing employment opportunities within the company. She is delighted to hear a colleague tell her, “I got the job.”
Through her work with the Employee Resource Group called Blacks United in Leadership and Development (BUILD), Hall orchestrated three large events that promoted the company’s diversity and inclusion message.
“No matter what I do, at work or in my personal life, I think about how I can be of service to others,” Hall said. “Finding ways to help people is just a part of who I am.”
Congratulations, Khadedra! We applaud and appreciate your wonderful service to others and your impressive track record of giving back to your community.
You have not only reflected the values of Con Edison well, but those of your alma mater.
We cannot wait to see what you do next!
