Crystal graduated from Monroe summa cum laude earning her Associate and Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Studies and an MBA with a concentration in Finance.
During her time at Monroe, she was elected to be a member of the Nu Omega Chapter-Delta Mu Delta and was a recipient of the 2019 King Graduate School of Business & Accounting Dean’s Award. She has worked with the Government of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago for over a decade, and in higher education for over five years. She is also a mentor for the AimHigh Empowerment Institute International.
In 2019, Crystal was invited to address the CSW63 United Nations Women's Forum at the NYC headquarters of the UN, where she shared this prestigious platform with notable international figures such as Her Excellency Pennelope Beckles and Ilyasah Shabazz, daughter of Malcolm X. In the same year, she also founded Future Focus Empowerment Institute International. This initiative has resulted in hundreds of at-risk youth receiving mentoring from successful professionals with whom they can identify.
Today, Crystal works as Chief Vision Officer and President at Future Focus Empowerment Institute International. In this role, she collaborates with United Nations entities, Non-Governmental and Civil Society Organizations and so much more to help improve the response to generation equality, youth empowerment, and advocacy.
