Diane Crowley
“The staff was genuinely enthused to share my success. I didn’t feel like just a number – I felt like an individual.”
Diane Crowley, currently halfway through her tenure with the NYPD, sought to ensure she was prepared for the next stage of her career. Her Master’s in Criminal Justice at King Graduate School offered great incentives for NYPD members and was the best financial option for Diane. The availability of online classes was essential due to her hectic work schedule.
As a training detective for the Transit Special Victims Squad of the NYPD Special Victims Unit, Diane responds to incidents, investigates allegations, interviews victims, obtains evidence, makes arrests, and conducts interrogations. She found that King Graduate School prepared her to analyze the issues she faces daily, examine her own biases, broaden her horizons, and become a more effective and well-rounded detective.
After graduating in 2016 with a Master’s in Criminal Justice, focused on Police Science, Diane chose to give back to the Monroe community. She became an Adjunct Professor, teaching online Criminal Justice courses, while also continuing her 17 years as a Second Grade Detective in the Special Victims Division for the NYC Police Department. Additionally, Diane is a self-employed Health and Wellness Coach, where she teaches her clients how to live a smart and healthy lifestyle.
