Hadiatou Toure

“Everyone at Monroe wants you to succeed. Use all the resources you can."

Hadiatou chose Monroe shortly after moving to New York and embarked on a path that would lead to her Master's in Public Health Administration.

At Monroe, Hadiatou experienced a supportive and nurturing academic environment. Her professors, especially Dr. Puri, went above and beyond to assist their students. Despite the hard work and stress, the support system at Monroe ensured she never felt alone.

Even though balancing work and school was challenging, Monroe's accommodating schedule that included the option for online classes, made it very manageable. Hadiatou graduated and defended her thesis. The process was rigorous, involving countless revisions, but the sense of accomplishment Hadiatou felt made it all worth it.

Now, Hadiatou works as the Lead Case Manager for a small NGO focused on behavioral health. She assists individuals with mental illnesses, providing day-to-day counseling and developing treatment plans. Her master’s degree equipped her with critical thinking and problem-solving skills that boosted her self-confidence and knowledge of the field.

Hadiatou plans to expand her career and continue growing in the public health sector. Monroe University not only prepared her for a successful career but also instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment that she will always carry with her.
