Luis Heredia
“Fortunately, Monroe saw my potential and gave me a second chance at school.”
A soccer injury in high school delayed Luis Heredia's plans for higher education. Fortunately, Monroe saw his potential and gave him a second chance. The faculty at Monroe understood his situation, supported him through his classes, and even allowed him to practice with the soccer team.
Eventually, Luis's leg healed, and he officially joined the team, playing a key role in helping them win the Regional Division title. This experience reignited his motivation, leading him to earn an academic scholarship for his hard work.
Today, Luis is the Digital Automation Supervisor at Benchmark Education. He received his Associate degree in Business Administration and graduated cum laude from Monroe. He went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business from St. John’s University.
