Second Annual Business and Innovation Conference Held

The School of Business and Accounting held its second annual Business & Innovation Conference recently on the Bronx campus. Dean Ahmed Eshra and Professor Jasmine Young once again put together an exceptional event. More than 250 students attended. In addition to the panel discussions and information tables, the CEO Club held its 6th Annual Shark Tank Competition during the conference. Congratulations to the winners: Mercedes Rodriguez, who won a $500 scholarship for her idea to help the homeless globally through her non-profit called Showers; Caroline Sanchez($250) for her Beauty Express concept; and Bryan Guzman ($150) for his Us Right Now apparel company. These talented, entrepreneurially minded students will next present their ideas on a grander scale, competing at a United Nations event in early February.
