The First Year Experience

Welcome First Year Students!

Our faculty and staff are committed to helping our students thrive academically, personally, and professionally. That journey begins with our First-Year Experience (FYE) program, a robust approach to providing freshmen with enhanced resources, services, and support to help them adjust to college life, navigate through the challenges and opportunities ahead of them, and ultimately stay on the path toward graduation.

Proven Track Record

Monroe's FYE advisors are motivational coaches, mentors, problem solvers, and your strongest advocates on campus. They’re relentless in pushing you to believe in yourself and get to the graduation stage.

Academic Support

From tutoring support and technological resources to social activities and special events, our FYE program is designed to help students grow as students, as young emerging professionals, and as members of the broader community.

Getting Involved

Learning how to build relationships with the University, with professors, and with each other is an important skill to develop. Campus life also means joining clubs and groups, both those that further your studies and those that are purely social.

There are so many activities on campus to choose from. It’s up to you to get involved.
